4th March, 2022

After a period of significant growth to meet a growing Client demand, Delta-Simons is delighted to announce the opening of a new regional office in Belfast, Northern Ireland and the relocation of our office address in Dublin. These two new bases will allow Delta-Simons and the wider Lucion Group to service an expanding Client base throughout Ireland.

The new offices are located on Arthur Street in Belfast City Centre and Fitzwilliam Place in Dublin, both with excellent public transport links and access to regional and national airports. We also have access to office space in Cork allowing us to service all of Ireland whilst assisting with work in UK and beyond.

Who will be representing Delta-Simons in the Belfast Office?

David Kerr, Principal Environmental Consultant, will be representing Delta-Simons in the Belfast and Dublin offices.

David is a Chartered Environmental Professional (CEnv) with 8+-years’ experience in providing bespoke environmental consultancy and advice services to commercial, public and private sector Clients throughout Ireland, the United Kingdom and Europe. David has a background in contaminated land investigation and assessment, environmental liability and risk management, waste and invasive plant species. David is also Chair of the Ireland Brownfield Network and an active member of the Institution of Environmental Sciences.

David commented: “This is an exciting time for Delta-Simons and the Lucion Group in Ireland as we expand to support our growing Client base. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate enough to have worked with some excellent Clients in Ireland, the U.K. and further afield that has given me a depth of experience in assessing complex risks associated with contaminated land management and brownfield redevelopment. In the past few years I have supervised the remediation of regionally significant former military barracks, supported public bodies in assessing and increasing environmental compliance and managed environmental due diligence projects throughout Europe and the Middle East. Now, as we expand our Ireland operation, I hope to bring this experience to future projects with my excellent local and wider U.K. colleagues.

Our decision to invest further in Ireland follows increasing Client demand and the on-going expansion of our services. Over the last 12-months, we have assembled a team of four technical staff to complement Lucion Group’s existing six staff members allowing us to provide a holistic range of environmental services including geo-environmental and geotechnical; environmental due diligence and planning services; environmental health and safety; wellbeing and sustainability; and asbestos and hazardous materials surveys, supported by our delivery capabilities from across the UK. During this time, we have built up a good mix of clients working across a broad base of sectors including residential and commercial development, retail, industrial and manufacturing, high-tech and energy, which highlights the growing attention from institutional investors in the region”.
