Lucion Group

23rd August, 2023

In April 2021, our company Lucion Services acquired Delta-Simons Ltd, a geoenvironmental and environmental, health, safety and sustainability specialist. During the past two years, we have worked to integrate Delta-Simons into the wider Lucion Group community. As part of this integration, we have reviewed our current memberships with various industry bodies including Environment Analyst, whom Delta-Simons Ltd has been a member of since its inception in 2008.

Sustainability Delivery Group: Working Groups

The Sustainability Delivery Group launched working groups to promote cross-sector collaboration and drive progress on identifying industry challenges and maximising opportunities. Hazel Gillings has been a proactive member of the Future of ESG working group and will continue to participate, providing her expert insight into navigating the challenges and opportunities presented by the widespread adoption and focus on ESG-linked outcomes.

In addition to the Future of ESG working group, the Environment Analyst Sustainability Delivery Group created the Early Careers Advisory Board. A working group aimed at attracting the next generation of consultants, promoting career opportunities in the sector and providing insights on what it is like to be an environment consultant and how to get into the industry. James Bickle who is Lucion Groups' representative on the Early Career Advisory Board (ECAB) and is the current Chair, has helped to evolve ECAB, helping to lead the groups visibility initiatives successfully.

To date, the Group has successfully:

  • Delivered an Early Career Survey which saw 370 Environmental Consultant Practitioners share their thoughts on sector entry routes, job satisfaction, retention and the skills crisis;
  • Developed a video series of consultants who have recently joined the industry speaking about their day-to-day life as an Environmental Consultant, and;
  • Produced a free-to-view webinar series to share their insights into the field of consulting, discuss challenges etc.

As part of this strategic membership update, we are pleased to announce Damian Robinson’s appointment to the Environment Analyst Advisory Board

As Managing Director of Advisory Services, encompassing our Environment, Health, Safety (EHS) and Sustainability services, Environmental Social Governance (ESG), Environmental Planning and Environmental Transaction Services, Damian is well positioned to deliver in-depth insight into the latest innovations in a variety of our advisory services, sharing knowledge with our peers for the benefit of protecting people and planet, securing a safer future.
