Even before Lockdown 1.0 was officially announced, we were implementing procedures around the office and off-site to ensure the safety of our staff and clients. We created COVID risk assessments, changed the office layout, restricted on-site employees, encouraged working from home and stocked up on disinfectant and sanitizer.
Because of our nature of work, we were able to safely operate through lockdowns as long as jobs were safe to do so. Since the first lockdown began to ease we’ve been incredibly busy and this momentum is continuing into 2021. Clients have shown extra appreciation for the efforts and commitment we made to continue with business as usual, allowing their projects and developments to progress.
Some of our major schemes included:
- Topographic, utilities and drone surveys of North Shields town centre
- A 9km stretch of the A64 into York Town Centre
- Topographic and utilities survey for a large expansion at Alnwick Gardens
- Utilities survey for the new concert venue at Gateshead Quays
- A large scheme at Portrack, Middlesbrough for a new relief road
We’re planning on sharing a few of these projects in further detail with our case studies over the next few months where you’ll find out a little more about what we get up to. We’ve also started some great projects already this year including a large
topographic survey for the redevelopment and expansion of Teesside International Airport, surveys for the provision of 11km of cycle tracks in Temple Newsam Park in Leeds, and a very interesting laser scan project surveying the elevations of Durham Castle.
Thank you to all our clients for making 2020 a very successful and busy year for us, despite the challenges that we have had to face and we look forward to working with you all in 2021.
