8th March, 2024

After nearly three decades at the helm of Landform Surveys, founder Eric Hinds has announced his retirement from the business. Eric, who established the company in 1994, has overseen its growth from a start-up into a well-respected and trusted surveying consultancy, working on prestigious projects such as The Alnwick Garden, Northern Spire Bridge, Spanish City, and York Railway Museum.

As part of his long-term plan, Eric ensured that Landform Surveys would be in safe hands before his retirement. The acquisition by Lucion on 8th March 2022 provided the perfect opportunity for a smooth transition. We further strengthened our geospatial service offering by acquiring Midland Survey Ltd, led by David Johnson, in December 2022. Since then, the teams have been working together successfully, forming a robust Geospatial unit.

Speaking about his retirement, Eric said;

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone I’ve worked with over the years for their assistance, professionalism and expertise, and in particular Matthew Reid & Carol Hall, whose support and friendship has been truly invaluable.

I continue to be extremely grateful for the support from our valued clients over the years and hope the feeling is mutual.

Wishing everyone all the best for the future.”

– Eric Hinds
