Asbestos Management Surveys FAQ

Our efficient NexGen compliance management software ensures quick turnaround times on survey reporting, providing you with timely and accurate information.

Our surveyors collect data on-site using the NexGen App including plan data. Our Operational support team create plans where CAD drawings are requested using the data collected on-site. Simultaneously, our lab team assesses the asbestos samples. Samples and plans are passed through our quality control check. You then receive your report through NexGen.

Our NexGen software is provided freely for all our clients.

If you are the duty holder, you are required to manage your asbestos risks in line with the Control of Asbestos Regulation (CAR) 2012. Effectively managing your asbestos risks is imperative to protecting your building occupants, environment, and organisation from the risks of asbestos.

Our specialist asbestos management consultants assist in developing asbestos management plans, implementing documentation control systems, and conducting policy reviews, ensuring compliance to protect building occupants, the environment, and your organisation.

Whether residential or commercial, any building constructed in the UK before the year 2000 might contain asbestos. While asbestos can be safely managed in situ, it becomes a concern when disturbed, releasing airborne fibres. Employing preventive measures to control the risk of asbestos exposure is crucial. This proactive approach, as the duty holder, not only safeguards against illnesses and fatal diseases but also serves as the initial step towards achieving compliance.

Our comprehensive survey report pinpoints asbestos-containing materials, their location, and their condition. In the event asbestos-containing materials are identified, our asbestos project management team, aided by our award-winning NexGen compliance management software, offers quick turnaround times on survey reporting.

Our report enables you to progress your project and choose from solutions such as asbestos removal, where we can provide advice and air monitoring, or managing asbestos in situ, where our team can help monitor and re-survey your site.

Formerly known as a type 2 asbestos survey, our Asbestos Management Survey is a crucial legal obligation for duty holders overseeing non-domestic premises.

This non-intrusive surface sampling survey identifies materials at risk during normal occupancy, considering the contextual use of the building. While assessing light maintenance work, it’s important to note that if your project involves more than ‘light maintenance,’ additional surveys may be necessary to comprehensively identify asbestos risks.
