Drain Remedial & Repair FAQs

Scheduling drainage remedial or repair services with Lucion is easy. Simply contact our friendly team, and we’ll work with you to understand your specific needs and challenges. We’ll then arrange for a detailed CCTV survey and assessment of your drainage system, which will provide the data needed to develop tailored recommendations for repair or remediation. Once you approve our plan, we’ll mobilise our skilled team to carry out the necessary work quickly and efficiently, keeping you informed every step of the way.

Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) are an approach to water management that seeks to mimic natural drainage processes, reducing the impact of development on the environment and promoting sustainability. SuDS solutions can include features like permeable paving, green roofs, swales, and retention ponds, which work to manage stormwater runoff, reduce flood risk, and improve water quality.

At Lucion, our expert team offers comprehensive SuDS consultancy services, helping you design, implement, and maintain SuDS solutions tailored to your unique site and needs.

While we always strive to use non-invasive methods like drain relining whenever possible, there are some situations where excavation may be necessary. This is typically the case when the existing pipe is severely damaged, collapsed, or misaligned, or when there are significant root intrusions or other obstructions that cannot be addressed through relining. In these cases, our skilled team will excavate the damaged section and replace it with new, durable PVC or clay piping to restore proper function.

Drain relining is a non-invasive repair technique that involves installing a new, seamless liner inside an existing damaged pipe. This liner effectively creates a “pipe within a pipe,” restoring structural integrity and preventing leaks or further damage. Drain relining is often used when the existing pipe is structurally sound but has localised damage, as it allows for repairs without the need for extensive excavation or disruption to the surrounding area.

Our skilled team uses a combination of advanced diagnostic tools and deep expertise to identify the most suitable method for each unique situation. We often begin with a comprehensive CCTV drain survey, which provides detailed data on the condition of your drainage system and any defects or issues present. Our repairs team then works closely with our CCTV Surveyors to analyse this data and develop tailored recommendations for the most effective, efficient repair approach.

At Lucion, we provide a comprehensive range of drainage remedial and repair services, including:
