This course intended for OIMs / Site Managers, Environmental / Health and Safety Advisers and others who require an awareness level knowledge of radiation hazards and controls at their workplace, including the legislative requirements.
No previous knowledge of the subject is required, and the course satisfies the requirements for managers under the IRR17. Delegates will be issued with a certificate of attendance.

• The hazards risks and controls for work with ionising radiation
• Sealed sources – nucleonics, industrial radiography, well logging
• Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM)
• UK Legislation including permits and exemptions
• What to expect from an HSE or EA / SEPA inspection
• Recent audit findings and trends, including best industry practices
• Responding to a radiation incident / accident
