Our Acoustics team was instructed by our client, Fytche-Taylor Planning Ltd, to undertake a full Noise and Vibration Impact Assessment to be submitted with the Outline Planning Application for a residential housing development at two adjacent sites one of which is an allocated site located in Market Rasen, Lincolnshire.
Conducting noise and vibration monitoring exercises and delivering output assessments, our services aimed to provide an initial site appraisal of the development with regards to the existing dominant noise and vibration sources. Following initial exercises, our team would provide recommendations and advice in terms of noise and vibration impacts, following the results of the surveys
Contract Challenges
Before any work was undertaken, our Acoustics team organised a meeting with our client Fytche-Taylor Planning Ltd, dynamic planning, development and architectural design consultancy based throughout the East Midlands, to discuss project requirements. Delivering a tailored approach our team provided two examples of the reporting styles that could be adopted for the Noise and Vibration Impact Assessment. This ensured a clear understanding of what elements of work would be involved and, through this process, constraints of the site were identified.
Our Solution
Providing bespoke options to our client resulted in a final deliverable that was tailored to our client’s requirements, where our Acoustics team provided the required mitigation strategy needed for the development.
This bespoke, tailored approach to conducting Noise and Vibration Impact Assessments reduced overall project time, and allowed for faster mobilisation to undertake the site work.
